- Description: Leadership Matters - Research conducted by Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McRel) has linked quality leadership
to student achievement. To positively affect student achievement, school leaders need to know not only what to do but also
how, why and when to do it. McREL’s research on principal leadership, which addresses all the dimensions of effective
leadership, is the foundation for our Balanced Leadership Academies. McRel-certified consultants
will facilitate the four two-day sessions resulting in knowledge and skill developmentrelated
to the four components of the Balanced Leadership Framework: Leadership; Purposeful Community; Magnitude
of Change; and Focus of Change.
